Senior Accountant

(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of accounting personnel in daily accounting/finance work to ensure all financial data is completely and accurately accounted for in our financial system.
  • Constantly review of work practices, processes and procedures for financial accounting and improved operational efficiency.
  • Work with cross functional teams within organisation to identify system changes and enhancements and translate them into financial accounting and operational requirements.
  • To liaise with external auditors/tax agent and headquarters on quarterly reporting package, Sox compliance on financial requirements and Corporation tax returns to ensure timely reporting and compliance with the relevant governing standards and regulations.
  • Perform timely reconciliation of balances
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a recognised degree or professional qualification in Accountancy and member of MIA. The candidates who have US GAAP will be added advantage.
  • Mature, confident, self driven and possess willingness to learn and take up new challenges.
  • Good interpersonal skill, analytical, meticulous, conscientious, team player and work independently.
  • Capable of working within tight deadlines and able to thrive in a fast pace environment.
  • Preferrably 5 years of relevant working experience in MNCs or in manufacturing environment.
